UNDERWATER BALLET

This film depicts the one of many definitions I maintain for grace | Liz Goldwyn has billboards in Los Angeles, which caught my attention, and Times Square | marketing at its' best for a short film | the film was shot with a Phantom Camera, which captures action at 1000 frames per second | because it records at such a high frame rate, the Phantom records all that the naked human eye cannot see and all the “in-between” moments of movement are suddenly visible | stunning.

WATER | FEIST

I can't stop thinking about cleaning and conserving water these days | when I found this song and realized the lyrics stated 'the water didn't realize it's dangerous size' I felt compelled to recognize that the element that could eradicate our species and life on Earth as we know it is merely an innocent victim of our trauma | there will be many more postings on H2O in this blog so for now worship the melody and the glory of Feist.

THE WATER
The telegraph cables hung
Few can decipher who the message is from
And deliver it quietly
'Cause some don't get much company

The harbor becomes the sea
And lighting the house keeps it collision free
Understand the lay of the land
Don't let it hurt you
Or it will be the first to

The water
The water didn't realize
Its dangerous size
The mountain
The mountain came to recognize
Its steep and rocky sides
More than realized

Pale as a pile of bones
You hope for your babies and this is how they grow
Wind-battered, knocked over
The teeth by the shoulder
Watching the gray sky that's acting like a good guy

The water
The water came to realize
Its dangerous size
The mountain
The mountain came to recognize
Its steep and rocky sides
Came to recognize
Its steep and rocky sides
More than realized

HIS HOLINESS THE 14TH DALAI LAMA

“Who provides the opportunity to cultivate patience?
Not our friends.
Our enemies give us the most crucial chances to grow.”

VETIVER

I am always searching for my summer song | it just needs to have a beat that makes me smile and lyrics that are easy to sing over and over again while my hair blows in the ocean breeze | fanciful | Vetiver's 'EVERYDAY' is creeping towards the top of that list | i'm into everything on this band's album | check out all you need to know as well as listen to their audio player | you gotta love a band that kicks it old school...see their fashionable and uniquely subtitled video below.

EVERYDAY
Every day, I'm away from you
Shakes me up inside
I wanna be near you
Know that you are here
Lyin' just next to me
How happy we'd both be

I say it all the time
You don't pay no mind
When I tell you that I love you
Now do ya ?
I wanna be clear
All I wanna hear is your voice
Have your face to see
How happy that would make me

Do-do-do-do-do (repeat)

I always seem to make
Something out of nothing
But I can't make you appear
While I'm away
Just know I'll play this song
For you and wait

Wait for me now (Do-do-do)
Wait for me now (o-oh)
Oh wait for me now (Do-do-do)
Wait for me now
Wait for me now

MAHATMA GANDHI

"Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes."
